Malta is lucky enough to have a mix of food to suit everyones tastes. Being in the heart of the Mediterranean the food is generally of a Mediterranean style borrowing flavours from Italy as well Morocco. Malta does not have vast lands for cultivation, but the little fruit and vegetables indigenous to the country such as tomatoes, oranges and peaches are flavoursome, sweet and juicy. The mix of food and the late surge in the quality of local wine has given Malta prominence in the food and beverage world. For obvious reasons, Fish is one of the great specialties and we suggest to everyone to try the milky Maltese Grouper or Dentex.

However the whole dining experience is a combination of food, wine, atmosphere, company and of course the venue. The Maltese islands can offer such an array of venues that are impressive for such a tiny island.

Imagine a Gala dinner with th oldest temples in the world as your backdrop! (and believe us they will only be a stones throw away), whilst having a view of Malta and Comino on the opposite side.

Imagine dining in the middle of the Saluting battery located at the edge of the fortified city Valletta, overlooking arguably the most beautiful harbour in the world. Even just watching the Cruise liners and yachts pass by is enjoyable.

Imagine your gala dinner set in the one of the old knights hospitals large enough to seat up 1000 persons in just two halls. The history and architecture of the building always leaves a positive impression on the guests.

The list goes on and on...... but we will make this happen for you!

Palazzo Stagno was built in 1589 but not much is known about the family that lived here. The Stagno family came from Messina in nearby Sicily, and judging by the size of the palace, must have been fairly wealthy. During the period that it was built, Malta belonged to the Knights of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, who came here in 1530 and stayed for over 200 years. In fact, it is said that the palazzo was the country residence of one of the Knights who was next in line to succeed the Grand Master. ... more
